Five Star rated Hospital is looking for a Director of Therapy Services.

This position will provide overall responsibility for the operations and clinical care of all therapy services within the hospital setting to include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.

• Responsible for the overall operation and clinical patient care within therapy department
• The Director is accessible to the department to provide onsite, telephone, or electronic consultation as needed.
• Ensures that the physical plant and environmental conditions of the department are appropriate for the procedures performed and provide a safe environment in which employees are protected from physical, chemical, and biological hazards.
• Ensures that clinical services selected have the capability of providing the quality of therapy required for the population served within the hospital
• Ensures that the quality control and quality assurance programs are established and maintained
• Ensures that documentation includes pertinent information required for coding and billing.
• Ensures that a general supervisor provides on-site supervision of PT Assistants and aides
• Directly responsible with HR assistance in hiring, terminating, and evaluating all employees within the therapy department
• Specifies in writing the responsibilities and duties of each consultant, supervisor, and testing personnel. Define what examinations and procedures each individual is authorized to perform.
• Responsible for preparing and implementing a therapy services budget (both capital & operating).
• Maintains regulatory requirements for CMS and TDH.

Requirements:

Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Texas. Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred.

• 3-5 years experience as a Physical Therapist
• 2-3 years Supervisory or Manager experience
• Current BLS certification
